As a graduate of Bible Training for Christian Leaders, Doris has been ministering to women for over 20 years. Most commonly referred to as “Dot,” she lives in Roswell, Georgia with her husband, Howard. They have three grown children and eight grandchildren.

A few years ago a woman asked why she started Cup of Joy later in life instead of enjoying the life of an empty nester. Without thinking, she responded, “When I die, I don’t want to give God sea shells.”  Thus began the hard work of listening to God and following His heart for seeing women understand truth, live in freedom, and experience His love.

Her weakness? She loves Krispy Kreme doughnuts. She could eat them for every meal. Every time she sees the “hot” sign on, it’s as if autopilot takes over her car; she has to pull in.
